LeakyCon kicked off Thursday with our most epic Opening Ceremony yet, with over 30 Special Guests performing a once-in-a-lifetime musical number, “To LeakyCon,” a fandom parody of “La Vie Boeheme” from the Tony Award Winning Broadway musical Rent.
Among the cast featured were original Rent cast member Anthony Rapp, Team StarKid’s Joey Richter, YouTuber Tessa Netting, and Lizzie Bennet Diaries‘ Ashley Clements. From Disney to Harry Potter to Lord of the Rings to Doctor Who, the song covered all of our fandom interests and showcased just why LeakyCon has branched out.
