Ask any Harry Potter conference veteran and they will tell you: there are few things more awesome than dancing your face off into the wee hours of the morning, surrounded by a few thousand of your closest friends, to music inspired by the boy wizard and his wondrous world. Wizard rock concerts have become a staple of Harry Potter conferences. They dislodge chandeliers. They inspire massive, thousand-person hugs. They create some of the most memorable moments from the conference and this year's LeakyCon is no exception!

This week on Facebook and Twitter, we posted a lyric from each of the acts that will be taking the stage in Chicago this August and now we are thrilled to officially unveil our official Rock lineup:

LEAKY, MEET MEGHAN

In 2012, we are opening our doors to an amazing performer who's music was not written about Harry Potter. In an effort to consistently grow and develop our community, we are so excited to announce that Meghan Tonjes will be joining our amazing Rock Lineup for LeakyCon 2012!

Meghan is a YouTuber and musician with an amazing voice and talent and we couldn't be more thrilled to invite her to become a part of the LeakyCon family! The past year has been an exciting one for Meghan. Last January, she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres show and she has been featured numerous times on PerezHilton.com. How did you hear about LeakyCon?
I've heard about LeakyCon just from other YouTubers that I'm friends with. I've heard people talk about it in videos and share their experiences of actually going. I also feel like I'm the only one on DFTBA who has never been, so I'm super excited to be one of the cool kids!

You are the first non-Harry Potter-related performer to headline at LeakyCon, what does that mean to you?
That is crazy! First of all, I feel completely flattered that I was even considered to be apart of LeakyCon. I think it says a lot of about this community in general that we're so open about including others and really embracing other viewpoints, regardless of things like fandoms. I also feel like I really need to re-read the entire Harry Potter series so I can impress everyone with my sweet knowledge. Or, I'll just throw 'Patronus' randomly in a few of my songs and people will be too impressed to question anything.
