How do i register for leakycon?

What do i need to bring to register and receive my badge onsite at leakycon?
Upon arrival, all attendees will need to check-in and register before attending programming. Please bring with you the following: a printed copy of your registration confirmation (this should have been received via email when you registered), a government issued ID (if you do not have a government issued ID we will accept a school photo ID and copy of your Birth Certificate) and if you are underage the correct parental permission form which can be found here.
If you do not have these items, you will not be able to register so please email [email protected] prior to the conference if you have any questions or problems relating to these items.
Why did my email tell me to print something with a bar code on it?
Because we changed our policy shortly after opening pre-registration, and there was a lag before the emails updated to reflect this fact: You do not need a bar code as of now. Currently you will only need to print your Registration Record, which is viewable via links sent to you after registration.
what are the different registration options?
REGULAR REGISTRATION: The basic entrance to LeakyCon! Includes entrance to the conference, access to the opening, formal and informal programming, wizard rock, podcasts, meetups, vendor room, galleries, and a lot more. And, of course, the Esther Earl Rocking Charity Ball.
In addition, LeakyCon full registrants can go to LeakyCon Lit for a reduced cost (available as part of this registration process).

ROCK STAR PASS: This is not just a premium pass, it is now an ALL-ACCESS pass. You can go to any keynote or special event; you can go to LeakyCon Lit. You get fast track to registration and you still get premium seating.
Please note that we have sold out of Rock Star passes, if you would like to be added to the waitlist please register for LeakyCon here and choose Rock Star upgrade on the agenda page to be added to the waitlist. You must purchase a regular registration in order to be added to the waitlist.

LeakyCon Lit is a followup to the hugely successful first LeakyCon Lit Day in 2011: meet the industry leaders in children’s and young adult publishing, from authors to agents to editors. Celebrate reading and the power of story in a way rarely seen before. 2011′s guests included Maureen Johnson, John Green, Scott Westerfeld, David Levithan, Libba Bray, and more: stay tuned as we reveal another amazing lineup!
DAY PASS:
Day Passes for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday programming at LeakyCon 2012 are now available! You can select the day or days of your choice at https://www.etouches.com/leakycon2012. Each Day Pass is $90 and provides entrance to panels, roundtables, discussions, meet-ups, and more!
Please note, if you would like to attend the Rock Concerts and Esther Earl Rocking Charity Ball, there is an option to add those to your registration for an additional $10 each. As with regular registration, keynotes are not included in the Day Pass price of $90. If you would like to attend these events, such as A Very StarKid Event (II), please be sure to add them when you register!
How much does leakycon cost?
A Regular Registration is $225. A Rock Star registration is $400. Lit Track with a full registration is $100 for Adults (18 and up) and $50 for youth (13-17). Lit Track without a full registration is $150 for Adults (18 and up) and $75 for youth (13-17).
I’m a rock star, do i need to add the starkid or actor special events to my registration?
No, if you are a Rock Star pass holder you are automatically guaranteed access to all events at LeakyCon, including the paid events such as LeakyCon Lit, A Very StarKid Event (II), and the actor special event “An Afternoon with HP Alumni”. You do not need to do anything additional to register or attend those events, just show up and enjoy!
Please note, unfortunately we have reached our capacity for our Quidditch Tournament so we will not be able to accept anymore rockstars as players. As always please email [email protected] with any additional Rock Star related questions!
What are your policies for attendees who are under 18?
If you will be under 18 years old before August 13, 2012 and you will be attending LeakyCon 2012 without your parent or guardian, then you MUST bring a permission form. This permission form must be SIGNED by your parent or guardian and NOTARIZED.* You can find the permission forms below.
If you will be 13, 14 or 15 years old by August 9, 2012, then please fill out this form. You will need your parent, guardian, or chaperone (over 21 years old) to accompany you to check in, but he or she will NOT need to attend the conference. If your parent, guardian, or chaperone wishes to attend the conference, then he or she will need to purchase a separate registration. Please note that if your parent, guardian, or chaperone chooses not to attend the conference, then he or she must remain within fifteen minutes walking or five minutes driving distance to the Hilton Chicago in case of an emergency.
If you will be 16 or 17 years old by August 9, 2012, then please fill out this form. You will NOT need to have a parent, legal guardian, or chaperone to accompany you to check in. Simply present your permission form upon registration.
*If you live OUTSIDE of the United States, then in place of notarization, we will accept a photocopy of a government-issued ID of the parent or guardian who signed your form.
May I pay over time?
No. All purchases must be made in full.
Why was there an error processing my card?
Please be sure you have entered all your information correctly and that your card has a sufficient amount of credit to purchase a registration. That is the only thing we can help you to fix: Please try a different card if the error persists.
Can I register multiple people at once?
Yes, during the registration process you will be able to register more than one person at once.
I’d like to give a leakycon registration as a gift, how do i do that?
Giving LeakyCon as a gift is easy, simple go to LeakyCon.com/give and follow the instructions!
May I refund my registration?
Before July 1, 2012, you can get a half refund. After July 1 there are no refunds for any reason, as we have to start guaranteeing numbers. For more information regarding our refund policy please click here.
