LeakyStars 2013

*If you have already Registered for LeakyCon and your submission is one of the Top 3 finalists (for either LeakyCon Portland or LeakyCon London), you will have the choice between a refund of your Registration cost or an upgrade to a LeakyCon RockStar pass. If you have already registered as a RockStar, you will be refunded your full registration amount. One free registration per entry.

TERMS OF SERVICE: You do not need to be Registered for LeakyCon to enter. The submission period will remain open from March 30th – April 30th. All submissions should bear the title format “LeakyStars 2013: [User Submission Title]” (without quotation marks and brackets) and the tag LeakyStars2013. During this time, LeakyCon encourages original video submissions under 3 minutes. Song covers are allowed if due credit is given in the description of the video. The submissions will be reviewed by our panel for consideration to be part of the semi-finalist group. Users who are chosen as semi-finalists will then be open to a popular vote to determine the Top 3 finalists (for both LeakyCon Portland and LeakyCon London) The Top 3 finalists will receive an official invitation to perform on the Main Stage of their chosen Conference.  If you are unable to attend LeakyCon but are chosen as a finalist, your video will be shown during this event. Each of the Top 3 finalists will receive the equivalent of a single free registration, valued at $140, or if already registered, the option of a RockStar upgrade. Transportation and hotel accommodation cannot be provided to finalists. Following the live performances of the LeakyStars, a single winner will be selected by a panel of Special Guest judges. When you post a User Submission, you provide Mischief Management permission to post your content and agree to automatically grant Mischief Management a royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, exclusive and fully transferable and sublicensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform and display any User Submission (in whole or in part) and/or to incorporate any of your User Submission in other works now or in the future and in any media formats and through any media channels.

Mischief Management will use commercially reasonable efforts to attribute material user submissions to the author. Although Mischief Management takes reasonable commercial measures to prevent content from being republished by other websites or via other technologies, Mischief Management is not liable for any actions of third parties, including publication of content without Mischief Management’s consent. Mischief Management reserves the right to remove content that violates one of the following principles, as determined by Mischief Management, at our discretion. No incitement to hatred. Material that promotes hatred toward groups based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, or sexual orientation/gender identity will be removed. No pornography or pedophilia. No direct or veiled threats against any person or group of people. No publishing of other people’s private and confidential information, such as credit card numbers, Social Security Numbers, and driver’s and other license numbers. No impersonation of others in a manner that is intended to or does mislead or confuse others. No use for unlawful purposes or for promotion of dangerous and illegal activities. No spamming, link-spamming or transmitting malware and viruses. No personal attacks. No profanity or vulgarity. No business solicitations or advertising.
