From June 27th through the 30th, 2013 LeakyCon is coming to the American Pacific Northwest! The Oregon Convention Center, in the heart of Portland, will play host to a weekend of geeky fun like only LeakyCon can deliver. Portland is a perfect city for LeakyCon: youthful, hip, and a little…well…weird!

The LeakyCon Lit Track is one of our favorite parts about the conference. Our LeakyCon Lit Directors Maureen Johnson and Robin Wasserman have assembled a tour de force of some of best and brightest from the world of Young Adult Literature and the publishing industry.
SPECIAL EVENTS
We are also planning some amazing events especially for LeakyCon Portland attendees.
The idea for LeakyCon Fittie 5K was born from the idea that just because we’re nerds doesn’t mean we should ignore our bodies or our health. This nerdy fun run is a non-competitive way to blend fitness with the fandoms we know and love.
The run will take place on the morning of Thursday, June 27th and will step off at 10:00 am. Participants must register for the event beforehand in order to receive their race materials at Registration. You can add the LeakyCon Fittie 5K to an existing registration by modifying your registration.
LeakyStars debuted in 2012 and we were so blown away by the amazing entries we knew we had to bring it back for 2013. The top three finalists for LeakyCon Portland and for LeakyCon London will win a FREE Registration and the opportunity to perform their talent live on the LeakyCon MainStage! The winner will be crowned by a panel of Special Guest judges and will win the opportunity to be involved in future LeakyCons.

REGISTRATION
Registration for LeakyCon Portland is NOW OPEN and spaces are filling fast! The cost for a General Registration is $160. Our Rockstar Registrations are currently sold out but we have enabled a wait list to which your name can be added when you register. Visit our Registration Portal to begin!
THE OREGON CONVENTION CENTER
The Oregon Convention Center will be our home in Portland in 2013. Bursting with nearly 1,000,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space, the OCC is by far the largest site for a LeakyCon. We will fill (a large chunk) of this space with panels, discussions, meet-ups, classes and concerts like only LeakyCon can provide. The added space means we are expanding our vendor room (especially Charity Row), meaning more great exhibitors, charities and vendors! We can’t wait to bring the party to this modern and innovative space!
Portland Transportation
If you can’t get your hands on a TARDIS, don’t worry! Portland is known for it exceptional Metropolitan Area Express (or MAX) light rail system. These speedy trains will zip LeakyCon guests to and from the convention center each day. With stops located throughout the Portland area, MAX trains can take you where you want to go. Portland’s TriMet transportation system also offers buses and street cars. Learn more about transportation in Portland.
ALL LeakyCon attendees will be given FREE TriMet MAX rail passes to get you around the city during your stay. Now it will be very easy to get to know Portland and to get back and forth from hotel to convention center!
